As part of their program the clarinet choir at Emporia State University under the direction of Dawn McConkie will be performing “Ice-9”. Live stream available here
The program features winners of the annual Meadows Concerto Competition, who are chosen to perform with the orchestra from a highly competitive field of talented Meadows undergraduate and graduate students. Highlighting the concert is the world premiere of Jason Mulligan’s They Come Through the Wires, a short work inspired by horror films, novels and games that takes the listener on a journey through anger, fear, anxiety, momentary relief and back.

The Sterling Trio presents their inaugural concert tour, The Edge of Oblivion. Alissa Roca, Brian Tracey, and Jason Mulligan perform Dominick Argento’s To Be Sung Upon the Water, excerpts from Ricky Ian Gordon’s Orpheus & Euridice, and two world premieres by Jason Mulligan and Steven Serpa.
Admission is pay what you want, all are welcome regardless of ability to pay.
Inspired by the eclectic album of the same title by Joni Mitchell, this four-part series invites the audience on a journey through the many colors and connotations of blue found in life and in death. This performance will feature the music of Julie Giroux, Frank Ticheli, Stephen Montague, and the premiere of Jason Mulligan’s The Things We See.
